Tutorial Game Show Presenter

Fast Start

Game Show Presenter helps you make fast and fun quiz shows that your audience will enjoy without making you learn anything too complicated. There are just 3 steps to making your first show, which are covered below:

The three things that newcomers to the program want to know are:

1) How do I make my own quiz?

Easy! Go to the "Quiz Editor" and click NEW to make a new quiz. Give your quiz a name, then it will open a blank template where you write your multiple choice questions. For each question, you indicate the correct answer by clicking on either A, B, C or D. You can also rate each question as EASY, MEDIUM or HARD. As you finish each question, click NEW? to get another blank question template. When you are done writing, click SAVE and then click the QUIZ LIST button to return to the main screen. If you click PLAY, you'll see your new quiz is used as the questions in the show! (But read on to steps 2 and 3 below first)

2) How do I change the title of the game show?

Go to the menu PREFERENCES, choose SHOW TITLE and SET-UP and type the title in the box. (TIP: Want to preview how it looks? If you do these actions while you are in the Quiz Player, you'll see the results immediately because the Quiz Player always shows your title screen unless a show is underway. If you don't see the title screen, you are probably in the Quiz Editor)

3) How do I set the duration of the show?

There are a couple of settings involved, but you can easily get to both of them by using the SHOW TITLE and SET-UP command under the PREFERENCES menu. First, you can adjust the duration of the quiz timer. Second, there's a section of the control window labeled "How Many Questions to Use?" Pick either "Automatic" or "Manual". For a short quiz, "Automatic" may be all you need. It will automatically use as many questions as possible from your quiz, then end the game show. It may not use all of your questions, because the number of players in your game may not evenly divide into the number of questions. (Example: You have 13 questions and 2 players, so in Automatic mode, the game show gives each player 6 questions and the game is over.) If you want more control than that, choose "Manual" and set the slider to control how many questions are presented to each player. (Make sure you have enough questions in your quiz. Example: For 3 players, if you set the slider to 4 questions you should have a minimum of 12 questions in your quiz to avoid repetition.)

All set? Click PLAY (or Control P) to start your show.
