Description of Contents:

opportunity to acquire a reading competence in German. It focuses on effective reading strategies that take note of current understanding of learning processes promoted by state-of-the-art research in applied linguistics. At the same time, a solid basic vocabulary will be imparted. The grammatical input is reduced to a so-called "receptive grammar," which suggests only indispensable grammar for decoding of texts, i.e. grammatical information that is immediately useful, and thus, differs from traditional courseware that aims at covering all aspects of grammar irrespective of its immediate usefulness.
