EVALUATION
Usability potential of this game in an educational context:

Poor0123456Excellent

Explain how the videogame can be used in an educational context:

This is a time consuming game, not suitable for use in an educational context, unless a very specific and worthy goal is found for it. As most online games that extensively uses forums, players get used to express themselves on quite complex concepts with meaningful and short sentences, thus improving their writting skills

I´d like to talk in favour of this game and disagree partially with the reviewer. This game encourages players to carefully calculate their decisions like a math problem not to waste resources and take into account possibilities. Players can attack players and expect things to happen or not to happen while attack is launched. Players learn to take risk-benefit lessons (Ricard lurbe. Xátiva Wrokshop I)

This is probably on of the most addictive serious social games. It is also extraordinarily demanding in when to connect. AS you play, you have to be online at certain time in order to managae your planets, fleets, etc. I know some players who ended the game with deseperation because they lost an important battle because they were not online at the right moment, and don´t want to play ever again,

Ogame is one of the best examples of a succesful social game. Players must interact and have relationships with neightbours, they can belong to groups of players (don´ remember the name of those) to defend and attack together and have to discuss strategies and plan attacks and coordination. Very addictive and good game. However, you need to play months to have a good empire. Silvia Chordá
